The calculator itself doesn't send us anything

Every option you pick in the mold remediation calculator, including the ZIP code field, is processed by JavaScript running in your own browser. None of it is transmitted anywhere or logged on our end. Refresh the page and it's gone. We built it that way on purpose so that trying a few scenarios does not create a record anywhere.

Forms are a different story

If you fill out the contact form or ask to be connected with a local remediation contractor, we do receive what you typed, your name, and your email address, along with your ZIP code if that step is part of the request. That information is used to answer you or to pass your request to a matched local contractor, and for nothing beyond that.

Cookies, ads, and the standard technical stuff

Like nearly every ad-supported site, this one uses cookies to keep basic functions working, to see in aggregate how pages get used, and to let ad networks (Google among them) show ads based on prior browsing. Your browser type, rough location, and device show up in that data automatically; none of it is tied to your name unless you separately gave it to us through a form. You can turn off ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of the analytics tracking with the official Google Analytics browser add-on.

Cookie consent in the EU, UK, and Switzerland

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland get a consent prompt on the first visit, and nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies gets set until you respond to it. You can revisit that choice at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site.

Who else sees your data

Your contact-form details are not sold or rented to anyone. If you request a contractor quote, the information needed to make that match goes to the relevant local partner and to no one else. Beyond that, information passes only through the technical vendors (hosting, analytics, ad delivery) that keep the site running.

This site is not built for children

The content and calculator here are meant for adults dealing with a mold problem in a home they own or rent, not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child that age.
